  • 1. What is the Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic?

    The Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic, Auburn, Washington began as an After Hours Animal Emergency Clinic. The clinic After Hours Animal Emergency Clinic in Auburn started on April 1984. It was changed to Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic on April 2010. The head Doctor of the Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic have 40 years of experience in veterinary emergency care. At the Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic you will received a high quality of medicine, state of the art medical diagnostic equipment, and options to choose better for your pet's health.

  • 2. Where are you located?

    The new facility has moved to a new location at 602 Auburn Way North, Auburn, Washington 98002. We are in the corner of 6th Street in Auburn Way north, Auburn. We are right across the Scarff Ford Dealer in Auburn Way North.

  • 3. What are your hours?

    We are open on weeknights from 6pm-8am Monday-Friday. On weekends we open at 12:00 Noon Saturday until 8:00 am Monday. On major holidays we are open 24 hours. If we have hospitalized patients, our dedicated doctor and staff are on-site. You can call us anytime when you have questions.

  • 4. Do you have a parking lot?

    There is plenty of client parking in the back of the building. Our clients can also park on 6th street.

  • 5. What should I do in an emergency?

    Call us at (253) 939-6272 or (253) 939-2238 and let us know what's going on with your pet. Please call our clinic first before you come in to make sure our doctor on duty will able to see your pet.

  • 6. What is the difference between Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic and other 24 Hour Emergency Vet?

    Most emergency cases like seizures, getting hit by car, dog fights, abscesses, lacerations, diarrhea, breathing difficulties, allergic reactions, dehydration, poisoning, limping, coughing, c-sections, pyometra, possible bloat and other abdominal exploratory surgeries will be performed by the highly trained emergency doctors on duty at the Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic. If a patient requires a specialist and 24 hour intensive care we refer them to a 24 hour emergency center with the necessary specialist.

  • 7. Will my pet be seen immediately? How long will I have to wait to be seen?

    We know your time is important and we do everything we can to get you taken care of in a timely manner. Our emergency room operates exactly as a human emergency room operates. All patients are seen according to how critical he/she is. We try to see all of our patients as soon as time permits but we do triage our cases. A patient that is in danger of dying will take priority over a less serious case.

  • 8. Is emergency care more expensive?

    Our prices are very reasonable and are comparable to those of your regular veterinarian.

  • 9. How much will emergency treatment care cost?

    Our doctor generally explains treatment plans after seeing the patient, including how much it would cost them to treat the patient as per doctor's recommendation.

  • 10. What is the cost of a visit?

    Our emergency fee is $75.00-$95.00 only and our examination fee is $64.00. Our fees go up after midnight. Additional costs are determined according to what is happening with your pet’s condition. Payment is due at the time services are rendered. If your pet is going to be hospitalized at our facility, you will be given a treatment plan estimate. As part of our policy we ask that you leave a deposit for your pet’s care at the time the pet is admitted. Any balance will be due when you pick up your pet.

  • 11. Will my family veterinarian be updated on my pet?

    Yes, your regular vet will be updated on any care we provide your pet.

  • 12. Do you offer billing or payment arrangements?

    Payment is required at the time of service. We do not extend credit or payment plans like billing.

  • 13. If I leave my pet, when do I pick her/him up?

    We will inform you of all pick up times before you leave your pet or by phone.

  • 14. Do you board pets?

    No, we don’t board pets.

  • 15. What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept CASH, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and Care Credit.

  • 16. What is Care Credit?

    Care Credit is a medical credit card offered through GE. It is accepted by many veterinary, dental, and cosmetic medical offices. The card offers varying payment options with low interest or interest free payment options. You can apply at home prior to coming to our clinic. For more information please visit www.carecredit.com.

  • 17. How do I know when I have an emergency with my pet?

    We always tell owners to use their best judgment as you know your pet better than anyone else. If your pet is exhibiting any kind of concerning behavior never hesitate to call us at 253.939.6272 or 253.939.2238. Please refer to our list of possible diseases and possible problems of your pet.

  • 18. My veterinarian referred me to you for overnight care, what do I need to do?

    Usually when your veterinarian refers you to us for overnight care of your pet they will send us copies of your records before you arrive. However, you can bring a copy of the record with you. Also please bring any medications or other products your veterinarian gives you. Give us a call first before you come in so we can call your regular veterinarian and get the medical history of your pet.

  • 19. May I leave personal items with my hospitalized pet?

    Yes, but any personal items left with your pet may not be returned. We encourage you to take your pet’s belongings home with you. If your pet is on a special diet you may leave the food with the hospital staff.

  • 20. How do I get an update on my pet’s condition?

    When you leave your pet with us we will tell you when to call for updates.

  • 21. I found a stray animal can I bring it to your facility?

    No, unfortunately we don’t have enough space for strays. We refer individuals to the Humane Society. If stray animals are found in the Auburn area you call the Auburn Valley Humane Society at (253) 249-7849.

  • 22. I have new puppies and kittens, can you give them their vaccines?

    We only offer emergency care services. We do not offer vaccinations.

The doctors at our Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic do not offer routine care such as vaccinations and other preventative care. Our hospital acts as an extension of services provided by your regular veterinarian. We work closely with your veterinarian to ensure the most comprehensive care for your pet.
